Manchester Museum of Science and Industry

April 24, 2012

I was commissioned by Kin to create all audio assets for their redesign of The Manchester Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) new Revolution Manchester Gallery. The Manchester Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) is rich with original, "world first" exhibits from Manchester's past, present and future.

The sound design work involved the design of a generic pallete of interaction feedback sounds for the numerous interactive exhibits as well as the score for the main 30 second identity animation shown on the large scale L.E.D Media Wall (pictured above).

This main ‘theme’ (now played throughout the day at the gallery to welcome new visitors) was composed in part from the rhythms of many of the steam engines exhibited in the museum which I recorded especially.
